My Room

I live with major depressive disorder, anxiety, and I'm neurodivergent, which makes life difficult to navigate. My room should be a place of comfort and peace, but with my depression, it has become a place of unrest and conflict. I choose to portray my personal spaces from an outside perspective to allow reflection without judgment to better understand myself. Through figurative observation I visually unravel the subconscious thoughts and actions affecting my life. I hope from my vulnerability that my work encourages others to accept themselves and see the beauty of our individual complex realities.
